HALLOWEEN, ALASKA ANNOUNCES 20th ANNIVERSARY VINYL REISSUE OF SELF-TITLED DEBUT ALBUM
First-Ever LP Pressing of 2003 Indie Cult Favorite Starts Shipping Nov. 3; Pre-Orders Now Available Exclusively on Bandcamp
Minneapolis, MN: To help mark 20 years since the release of their self-titled debut album, Minnesota-based quartet Halloween, Alaska is releasing the first-ever vinyl pressing of this ‘00s indie rock fan favorite. With an official release date of Nov. 3, 2023, the limited-run LP features remastered audio, reimagined cover art, a full-color lyric sheet insert, and access to downloadable versions of the original album tracks as well as bonus material.
Halloween, Alaska emerged from the vibrant Minneapolis alt-rock scene in the early 2000s, with members of luminary bands such as The Bad Plus, 12Rods, and Love-cars collaborating to create a moody, emotive, slow-burning brand of ambient pop. Their self-titled debut — including seven original songs plus a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “State Trooper” — earned critical raves and reached a global audience via high-profile placements on television series including Fox’s mega-popular “The O.C.”

Over the course of lineup changes, four more album releases, and selective tours across the U.S. and U.K., the band’s debut album has remained a cult favorite. The current lineup will support this special vinyl reissue with a rare live show on Friday, Nov. 24 at the historic Turf Club in St. Paul, less than a mile from where Halloween, Alaska was recorded.
